Foreshorten the Radius and linear dimensions in Solidworks
Thursday, September 6, 2007
How to show Foreshorten Radius and linear dimensions in Solidworks drawing?

Foreshortened radius specifies that the radius dimension line is foreshortened (broken). This is helpful when the centerpoint of a radius is outside of the drawing or interferes with another drawing view.

When you dimension to a foreshortened radius or diameter, the dimension also appears as a zigzag in the ANSI standard.

This is a video tutorial which depicts how to show the foreshortened radius and linear dimensions.
